Conquering Victoria's High Country: A True Endless Adventure

After months of anticipation and planning, we finally hit the tracks for a week-long off-road journey through Victoria's legendary High Country. What we experienced was nothing short of breathtaking – from steep climbs and rugged tracks to iconic huts and panoramic views that made every scratch and mud splatter worth it.

Day 1: Hitting the Road from Sydney
We kicked off the adventure early, heading south from Sydney with our rigs packed to the brim. The aim was simple: make it to the High Country and take the back way through some of the most scenic and challenging 4WD tracks Australia has to offer. Spirits were high, the playlist was pumping, and the adventure had officially begun.

Day 2–6: Tracks, Huts, and Mountain Views
Once we reached the Alpine National Park region, it was straight into the thick of it. We tackled legendary trails that tested our gear and driving skills, including a few heart-racing ascents and technical descents.

One of the highlights was driving the iconic Blue Rag Range Track – known for its razorback ridgelines and 360-degree views that make you feel like you’re on top of the world. It’s one of the most scenic (and sketchy) drives in the country, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We also took on the Bluff Hut Track, which led us deep into the mountains and rewarded us with not just a killer drive but also a visit to the historic Bluff Hut, perched in a clearing with epic alpine backdrops. Another standout was the stop at Craig’s Hut, a nod to Aussie history and bush culture, where we captured the raw beauty of the untouched landscape. The views throughout the trip were next level. At every peak, we were rewarded with sweeping mountain vistas that stretched for miles – a constant reminder of why we chase these off-grid experiences.

The Final Day: Cold Beers at Dargo Hotel
No High Country trip is complete without a stop at the Dargo Hotel. It’s more than just a pub – it’s a rite of passage for any 4WDer in these parts. After days of tough trails and campfire yarns, standing out front with our dust-covered rigs was the perfect way to wrap up the trip.

Final Thoughts
This trip was a reminder of everything Endless Adventures is about – pushing limits, discovering hidden gems, and living for the moments most people only see in photos. Victoria’s High Country delivered everything we’d hoped for and more.

If you’re planning your own journey through this rugged paradise, do it right: prep your rig, respect the land, and don’t forget to stop and take it all in. Trust us, it’s worth every second.
